- Open Arms Housing (OAH) is dedicated to providing permanent housing for vulnerable women who have previously been overlooked by current housing programs and services for the homeless.
- The OAH model rests on the premise that stable, safe housing is necessary to promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of all persons, particularly women with a history of chronic homelessness.
- OAH operates under a housing first approach which holds that all individuals are entitled to safe and decent housing and that access to this housing should not be contingent upon participation in services. Those services can come later, but housing is first.
- OAH offers on-site supportive services which are tailored to each individual’s needs, and are designed to prevent a return to homelessness.
